Town of Anson Fire Response Ranger Station
With the new construction of several DNR Fire Response Ranger Stations throughout the state of Wisconsin, the goal of the DNR is to create a uniformity between their buildings.
The Town of Anson Fire Response Ranger Station was designed and constructed to accommodate the Department of Natural Resources Forestry and Fire Response Crews, both full time employees and limited term employees. This building has replaced the aging and too small station that the DNR was previously stationed in. The station serves as both office space and emergency vehicle storage for the DNR. The station has also been carefully designed to incorporate an Incident Command Post (ICP) for the DNR’s use; when large-scale emergencies occur, this ICP becomes a home base for surrounding emergency services to operate from. The station includes meeting spaces, offices, a locker room, laundry and shower spaces, and ample storage space for emergency vehicles as well as work benches.
Due to the location of this building, it was designed to be on it’s own septic system, drilled well, lp gas and tanks, and we incorporated underground stormwater systems in order to direct all water off the roof into the new dry pond.
